• A background of modern Germany from the breakup of the Holy Roman Empire to the unification and reign of the Kaisers.

• A discussion of why the Germans lost World War One and a mind mapping activity.

• A timeline activity on the German Revolution and the stages leading up the abdication of the Tsar.

• An actvity to colour-code the different problems Germany might face now that the Kaiser has abdicated and Germany is going into a new phase of democracy.

• A choice of plenaries: a thinking and extension quiz, or an interpretation question.
