Germany L2 - Did the Constitution Make Germany Strong or Weak?

This lesson contains:
A discussion of how the government was created and what a constitution is. 
An activity to read some parts of the constitution to assess how democratic is really was.
A guide to the problems the government faced including Article 48, Coalitions and Proportionate Representation. Students judge the reasons they might lead to problems.
An opportunity to judge the problem most likely to lead to weakness. 
A plenary quiz to consolidate the knowledge.
A video from YouTube to summarise the issues the government faced from within.
A colour-coding activity assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the government.
A plenary exam question to judge the state of the government against an interpretation, and  then peer assess the answer.
