This lesson contains:

• Background information about Hitler's return from jail.

• An activity to build an info file on the Nazi Party efforts to grow support in the Lean Years, including forming the SS, re-organising the Party nationally, the role of Mein Kampf and the new leaders who joined the party.

• A guided reading on the Bamberg Conference and the the effects on Hitler and the Party.

• A chance to discuss the reasons why the Nazis still did not have the mass support they expected by 1928.

• A usefulness question based on Bamberg.
