L7 -Why did the Revolution Choose Terror over Peace

This lesson contains:
An introduction to the constitutional monarchy and the situation with Louis' power. Then, an activity to study a table of information about the things happening in the final year of Louis' life and to decide which ones made the French people feel betrayed or threatened. 
An overview of Louis' death using pictures on the board and some info, which students then use to complete a gap fill about the death of the King.
A main activity to study about the terror. This is introduced through a short video on YouTube and then a reading comprehension.
A plenary to consider some small case studies and what would happen to them during the terror.
