Normans L5 - William's Control - Harrying of the North

This lesson contains:
A task for students to study some of William's most urgent things to deal with after Hastings. Students must choose a few and justify why they William should do those first.
A task for the teacher to read through the sources with the students. They then complete their worksheet to show how William used force at different points. Students will then find out about the Harrying from a YouTube video and then complete questions about it and the impact.
There is a chance for extended writing about how much of an impact William's use of force actually had.
