Normans L10 - Was the Norman Invasion 'Trouble' for England?

This lesson contains:
An introduction to the death of William and the events immediately after this. Students are asked to read a quote by a monk to determine what the monk is saying positively and negatively.
A main activity to study 5 character cards. Each one represents a different part of society. From this, students will determine who William's reign affected those people and they can chart this on the worksheet graph to show positive and negative impacts on England.
An opportunity to write this up with extended writing promps.
