Migration L2 - How Did Early Settlers Reach Britain?

This lesson includes:
A do it now activity which can be edited to suit whatever you taught last.
A teacher-led introduction to Doggerland and the early movement of people. There is a short YouTube video and then the students use the information to complete the worksheet timeline for the first settlers and the Stone Age.
Another activity to read about the Beaker People and add this to their timelines, including about the Bronze Age.
A final task to complete the rest of the timeline by looking at the Celts and the reasons they migrated and about the Iron Age.
A consolidation activity to consider how each of the groups survived. This is followed by a plenary to sum up the learning.
