Slavery L2 - What Was the Slave Triangle?

This lesson contains:
A starter which can be edited depending on what you have taught prior to this lesson.
An overview on the board of the reason why Europeans engaged in the slave trade with a basic overview of the trade triangle. Students then use the information provided to complete the triangle worksheet to show the goods that passed and the regions involved.
A task to study the origins of the slave trade from its Portuguese and Spanish roots through to British involvement. This is done via guided read on the worksheet.
A plenary to check the learning.
