Women's Suffrage L3 - Who Were the Suffragettes

This lesson contains:

• A starter activity to recap the work done previously on Suffragists. If you didn't, you can amend this to suit the previous learning.

• A discussion of the Suffragists with a consolidation activity about them and their methods.

• A source to study with what we can learn about the Suffragettes.

• A video from Youtube of a trailer for the film 'Suffragette' and students are to determine what methods they saw the Suffragettes using.

• A task, with questions, about the Suffragettes based on the information sheet provided, including their methods and patterns of behaviour.

• A plenary activity to listen to a song from YouTube from Mary Poppins and to decode the message. Then an extension to write a short speech or song with what thye have learned this lesson.
