Dictators L2 - What Were the Events of the Russian Revolution?

This lesson contains:
A 'do it now' starter which can be modified to fit what you taught last.
An introduction to Karl Marx and Lenin and their beliefs about Communism. Students complete a short gap fill to consider the changes Lenin wanted to make to Russia.
A main task to study the key events of the revolution. Students study an information sheet provided and use it answer questions as the events progress. 
An extension activity to consider how well the Bolsheviks took advantage of events taking place in Russia.
A plenary to spot the difference (in a given set of statements) between capitalism and communism.
