Saxons & Normans L26 – William's Death and Succession
This lesson contains:
- An activity to produce a mind map in student books. They complete the death of William from the information on the board, then the other side on problems after 1087 from board and teacher explanation. There is also a video about this to help consolidate.
- A task to study Odo’s rebellion. Students then complete the questions and there is also a sheet with different reasons why William II won against his brother and Odo. Students colour-code this.
- A final consolidation activity. Since it’s the end of the GCSE course, there is a two page set of questions that allows students to recap topic 3.
