Saxons & Normans L14 - The 1069 Rebellions of Edgar Aethling

This lesson contains:
An on-board introduction to the first 1069 rebellion, the murder of Robert at Durham and the reaction of William. The video from YouTube fills in the rest of the story, then students use the information sheet to complete the first part of the timeline. 
An intro into the Danes' invasion and the next part of the rebellion, plus the extra revolts breaking out. Students use the info to complete the rest of their timeline. 
An activity to decide why William was successful in both. The students colour-code their sheet and then follow up with writing.
