Saxons & Normans L10 - Submission of the Earls

This lesson contains:
A discussion on the board of the next steps after William's invasion and his choice to move towards London. The students stick in a map of his route (editable) and annotate as you read through the information with them. This takes the story right through to William's coronation in December 1066.
A discussion as to why he might not want to attack London directly.
A colour-coding activity, and follow up question, about whether the earls should have submitted to William or not, with some factual reasons that cover both sides of this argument.
Some exam practice as a review.
