Saxons & Normans L17 – Revolt of the Earls 1075

This lesson contains:
A background discussion of the three main characters of the revolt and hy they were frustrated with William, beginning with the wedding. Students complete the first section of their sheet. I print the sheet on A3 to ensure that this whole output on this revolt acts like a single-page knowledge organisers.
A task to study the main aims of the revolt. Students complete the questions on their collection worksheet.
A video that gives the outcome of the revolt, then an activity for students to study the information sheet about the events and consequences and finish their sheet.
There is exam practice at the end of the lesson as optional.
