Saxons & Normans L15 - The 1070 Revolt of Hereward the Wake

This lesson contains:
An introduction to the rebellion and who Hereward was. Students learn where Ely was and how it used to look. The students then watch a video from You Tube about the rebellion.
An activity to study the events on an information sheet, with questions on the board that students answer in their books about the causes, events and consequences.
An important overview sheet that covers all the rebellions so far. Students colour-code and then they can practice an exam question (or planning one) to consolidate the main reasons why the rebellions failed.
An opportunity to answer an exam question at the end for the 'one feature' question.
