An introduction to the Silk Roads and the potential dangers, using the slides and teacher summary. Students then discuss the potential things that were important to take on the Silk Roads.
A short video and some slides to introduce the purposes of the caravanserai and how they looked. The slides have lots of info to introduce them, then an info sheet with details, which students then answer questions on.
A guided source read of two accounts by travelers who went on the Silk Road. Students study these, then complete the questions about it. Then, there is a plenary to check their learning from the lesson.
