An introduction to slavery on the Silk Roads, including some original source art and an historian's viewpoint. This can lead to a brief discussion.
An activity to study information about 4 different groups who traded slaves on the Silk Roads. Students stick in a copy of the map with their locations shaded, and annotate their books.
A case study on the Vikings with a guided read and some questions to answer on the sides. There is also a video from YouTube to add to their visual learning.
A plenary to check the students' learning.
